Background: Genomar is an international company with their head office in Oslo. They operate in Bangladesh, Brazil, the Philippines, China, Thailand and Vietnam and research in DNA based breeding technology. Their focus is the food deficit in The Third World. Amongst others, they have a patent on the fish called Tilapia, which is an exotic kind of cod. The fish is developed as a feeding fish for the breeding industry in under-developed countries. Last but not least, the Tilapia is a tasteful fish and is therefore multi-functional.
Challenge: Create a profile that works world wide, athwart of cultural differences.
Solution: The aim was to redesign Genomar's logo and visualize their field of work. SKIN redesigned their logo to create a form which includes both fish and genolog and developed illustrations to create a visual environment. The colours are based on water and nature, but also indicate seriousness. We developed their profile including all printed material and the web site and a web-based design manual.
